Growing up I never understood my mom. As a teenager, it only got worse. Not because she changed, but because I did. Eventually, my view of her transformed from an “overbearing parent” to “my confidant and true best friend”. She’s a true blessing from God. Moms are a pillar of the home. My mom would put a smile on her face even when there was a storm inside of her. She prioritizes her family first and I’m truly amused by the woman she is today. The way she loves and serves exemplifies Christ. I do hope I can be half the woman she is one day. God had a purpose in making her my mom and I’m very much grateful that I get to call her that. Her compassion and kindness towards poor hungry people unforgettable.l seen that with my own eyes the way she serving the guests and whoever approach her. Because of her prayers and care, we survived through Jesus Christ. She was a woman of faith. Though she born and raised in a CSI family then Marthomite, eventually became a Pentecostal believer. She was a role model among her family members and neighbors. She loved her church members, servants of God. My mom went through so many hardship sufferings and challenges. But God enabled her to overcome all those difficult time. At the age of 84 she went to be with her Lord. I miss my sweet mom. I'm sure one day l will meet her on other shore. Her kindness, gentleness, patience, humility and love are unforgettable.

I love and miss my mom very much. More than anything else, I miss her prayers. No one can love like my mom except God. Whenever I think about my mom, I remember her as a prayer warrior with unwavering faith while living a selfless life. Though she did not like being on stage, she stood behind my dad in their long life of ministry together. She possessed all the fruits of the spirit written in the book of Galatians. My mom helped me grow spiritually so that I am able to stand strong in my faith just as she did. She had a son and daughter, but she also has many spiritual sons and daughters around the world because of their service in ministry and many of them in the ministry now. She continually prayed for each person by name every day until the day of her passing, which she would always say. I still remember hearing her long prayers echo through the house every single day. She set a Christ like example, full of God’s love, for all of us to follow. This could be seen through her faith and ministry. I am proud of the life my mom lived and the example she set for each one of us.

My mom is the epitome of the Lord's grace and healing. Having battled cancer of the spinal cord at a young age and stage 3 breast cancer, she continues to be a living testimony among the people. The promise "My grace is sufficient for you " has sustained her thus far and her faith has never faltered since the day that the Lord made this promise to her. It is her purposeful and striving intercession not just for her family, children and grandchildren but also for men and women of God, that has been an impact in many a lives. She is a prayer warrior who seldom forgets prayer needs when others request prayers and continues to intercede till she gets to know the result. She continues to use the gift of healing that the Lord has granted her, to bless many in the kingdom of the Lord. She never backs out from sharing her testimony and the gospel of Jesus from any she comes in contact with. My Mom is my Hero, out of all my siblings throughout my young age, most of the time I spend time with my parents mostly with Mom, going to all prayer meetings with her like an assistant to her, as she encouraged me in singing, praying and reading the word during her message from the age 7. Reading bible every day and praying without fail became my daily routine as my Mom taught me from my childhood. My Mom is now 86 years old, she never goes to sleep without reading her bible using magnifying glasses. Patience is the most important thing she taught me, to be quite and be a good listener when others talk. That helps me every day in my family life. (When both talks back to back is when problem arise, if one keeps quite, it goes peaceful). Another most important thing she taught me to ask God first anything we need in our life no matter whether it is a small need of daily living or a big thing of solving problems. Even today I tell my God first even before I tell anything to my husband. Even today my husband teases me saying my first husband is God. My Mom is very loving, caring and giving person to anyone comes in need –she always says she do not have any enemies except Satan. Even when she gets angry only word of God comes from her mouth, she corrects us with word of God. I may not be perfect but always remembers how my Mom taught me and try to impact into my daily life in family, work and community.

My mom is my safe place. She knows exactly what to say to encourage me, exactly what I need to hear when I need to be corrected, and exactly what I want to eat, without even asking me. She can correctly detect a change in my mood, merely based on my expressions or the slightest change in my tone. As a young girl, she encouraged me to think and speak freely, be independent and courageous - even when I didn’t know what those things really meant. She pushed me out of my comfort zones, taught me to dream, and gave me wings to fly ... even though it was soul-crushing for her to know that it meant that I will leave her for my dreams. I admire her for her courage to not hold me too tight in her arms. She prayed relentlessly and trusted God to mold me, while I was away from her and her guidance. And for all of that I am grateful.
