WEEK 2: The Slain Lamb & Our Perfect Sacrifice

‍PASSAGE: Exodus 12, John 1:29, Luke 22:19-20, 1 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Peter 1:18-19, Revelation 5:9-12

‍FORETOLD IN THE OLD TESTAMENT:

- Exodus 12 - The Passover Lamb

FULFILLED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT:

- John 1:29 – Jesus is the Lamb of God.

- Luke 22:19-20 – Jesus establishes the new covenant with His blood.

- 1 Corinthians 5:7 – Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed.

- 1 Peter 1:18-19 – We are redeemed by the precious blood of Christ.

- Revelation 5:9-12 – The Lamb who was slain is now reigning.

APPLICATION FOR OUR LIVES TODAY:

- Rest in Christ’s finished work – Salvation is through Jesus’ sacrifice, not our works. Just like God provided for them at Passover.

- Live as redeemed people – If the blood of Jesus covers us, we should walk in holiness and gratitude. We are free from sin!

- Share the Lamb’s message – Just as Israel proclaimed the Passover to future generations, we must proclaim Christ’s sacrifice to all around us.
