WEEK 8 (Easter): The Resurrection & Our Living Hope

PASSAGE: Psalm 16:10, Isaiah 53:10-12, Acts 2:24-31, Matthew 28:1-10, Luke 24:1-7, John 20:24-29, 1 Corinthians 15:3-8.
FORETOLD IN THE OLD TESTAMENT:
- Psalm 16:10 & Isaiah 53:10-12 – The Risen Savior
FULFILLED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT:
- Acts 2:24-31 – Peter preaches Psalm 16 as proof of Jesus' resurrection.
- Matthew 28:1-10 – The women find the empty tomb, and Jesus appears to them.
- Luke 24:1-7 – The angels declare, “He is not here; He has risen!”
- John 20:24-29 – Jesus appears to Thomas, proving His resurrection.
- 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 – Paul testifies to Christ’s resurrection and its central role in the gospel.
APPLICATION FOR OUR LIVES TODAY:
- Live in resurrection hope – Jesus’ resurrection gives us victory over death. We have so much hope in comparison to the world.
- Let the resurrection power work in you – Christ’s power is alive and at work in believers. Let Christ bring things to life around you by His power.
- Proclaim the resurrection – Jesus is alive, and we are called to share that good news. Tell others that death has been overcome and denied!
